FBR-Ready POS: A Simple Guide

SmartRestro POS · Updated July 2026

If your business is registered, the FBR expects a compliant invoice with a QR code. It sounds intimidating, but with the right POS it's mostly automatic. Here's a plain-language guide to a FBR-ready POS in Pakistan.

What FBR compliance means at the till

What you need

How SmartRestro POS does it

In SmartRestro, FBR is a PRO feature you switch on in Settings. You enter your FBR credentials once; from then on, each sale auto-submits and the QR code prints on the receipt as required. Your NTN and STRN appear on every invoice. Because the POS is offline-first, day-to-day billing keeps working even if the connection drops — submissions catch up when you're back online.

A note on being honest with your data

FBR readiness is only useful if your sales data is accurate. SmartRestro's reports count only real, paid sales — held, refunded and voided orders are excluded — so what you report matches what you actually sold.

Getting started

Install the POS, complete the 4-step setup, then add your FBR details under Settings when you're ready. Download SmartRestro POS free to begin — you can explore everything before turning FBR on.
